Avon Nail Wear Review

I'm a big fan of having my nails painted but I don't like spending too much on beauty related products so am always searching for nail varnish that does the job in a pretty colour at a reasonable price (under £8 imo). 

I used to work for Avon Cosmetics so I have tried lots from their range including their nail varnish collections. They have a pretty broad spectrum of colours (+25) and are affordable (£6 RRP but are very often on offer for £3).They have 4 main ranges of nail varnish; nailwear pro, colortrend, speeddry+ & matte. They also have seasonal colours.

The Review:
For this review I'm going to focus on nailwear pro (the rest are very similar though). If you'd like to check out their range click here, currently on sale for £2.99. First thing to note is the extensive range of colours, this I was very delighted with. 

Packaging wise they come in cute clear bottles, with a nice round brush, I found the bottles easy to open and close with no mess. Application was straight forward, drying time I found to be average. The actual colours themselves are very pigmented, 2 coats are defiantly sufficient. Wear was better than average, I could wear it for around 2-3 days before any chips arrived (this is with me not being particularly careful of my nails - doing dishes etc). Overall I like these, they may not be my all time favourite but I do think they are totally worth the money.

Whilst on my last trip to Germany, rather than bring a face scrub with me I thought I'd pick one up there. I had wanted to give this product a try since it was released so bought it. I purchased mine at Müller at around €5-6 (can't remember the exact price). In the UK you can purchase it in Superdrug (and most places that sell face scrubs) for £4.95 here.

With powerful  MICROCLEAR® technology and exfoliating microbeads the formula unclogs pores to clean deeply and help eliminate spots and blemishes. The refreshing scrub gently purifies the skin without overdrying, while a wave of pink grapefruit uplifts the senses with a burst of invigorating freshness!"

The ingredients are as follows;

The Review

I have been using this product for about 4 months now and I have to say I genuinely really like and will most likely be repurchasing it as well as trying some of the other products in the range. 

First thing you'll notice about this product is it's amazingly tantalizing scent, it smells like heaven. The product itself is a lovely pink, it's a gel like consistency with little microbeads visibly in it. You simply massage it into your face with a little water, as you do so the little exfoliating microbeads burst and form into a lovely lather. Rinse & done. It leaves my kin feeling super fresh & smooth. 

I have combination skin so sometimes products with microbeads can be a tad harsh on the dry patches but I didn't find this to be a problem with this scrub as I found it to be really gentle. I also suffer from the occasional blemish here and there and found this product does work against them, they don't disappear completely but I defiantly notice they calm them, blemishes after use appear diminished in size and redness.

Lush Love Lettuce Face Mask Review

My lovely boyfriend bought me this as a gift, it's the first Lush face mask I have tried. I'm a big fan of Lush in general in particular their bath bombs so naturally I was super excited about this product.

Here's what Lush say about Love Lettuce:

"An effective, exfoliating Face Mask which gives normal to oily skin a softened, smoothed and radiant glow. This mask is a seaweed gel with exfoliating granules through it. Ideal for those who want to clear away dead skin and brighten the face, whilst also gently treating it to softening ingredients."

Ingredients listed:

Agar Agar Gel, Kaolin, Honey, Fullers Earth, Glycerine, Almond Oil, Ground Almond Shells, Ground Almonds, Lavender Oil, Chlorophyllin, *Geraniol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume

*occurs naturally in essential oils

The Review:

The product is Love Lettuce Exfoliating Face Mask by Lush, it comes in a little 75g tub and is available to buy at your local Lush store or online here for £5.95.

I'm thrilled to say that this product lived up to expectations and beyond. What I like to do is apply the face mask to clean skin (avoiding the eye area) just before I have a bath and then rinse it off whilst in the bath (in total leaving the face mask on for approx 20-30mins).

This face mask leaves my skin feeling baby soft, not just immediately after having washed it off either - it lasts. The fragrance is simply heavenly, not too strong but defiantly noticeable. I can detect lavender and almond scents from it. As for texture it is very grainy which is something I really like, it feels natural and I like that about it, you don't feel like you've just threw a pile of chemicals on your face. In terms of storage the product should be chilled so I have mine in the fridge (which therefore creates a lovely cooling effect when you first apply it). In all I would most defiantly repurchase this and recommend it to others. By far the best exfoliating face mask I've tried so far.
